IT’S been a busy 100 years for Marjorie Bostelman, who celebrated the milestone birthday earlier this month.
One of the first people born at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mrs Bostelman was raised in Hamilton Hill until she married and moved to Palmyra, where she lived most of her life.
Known as ‘Speedy’ she was a champion golfer who played her last game when she was 88 years old.
The Aegis Hilton resident now has 46 descendants.
On February 16, Aegis organised a morning tea to celebrate the milestone, where Mrs Bostelman was presented with greetings from Queen Elizabeth II.
