The sculpture was inspired by the 10th Light Horsemen who trained in the area.

The piece, currently being fabricated by West Australian sculptor, painter and teacher Robin Yakinthou, consists of a horse and rider fabricated from stainless steel and recycled metals to reflect the industrial history of the site.

It will be installed on the corner of Reinforcement Parade and Anchorage Drive later this month.
