WHEN former Beaconsfield Primary School students like Les Dibben and Marie Anderton left the school all those moons ago, chances are they never believed they would be back.
But back they are, two among hundreds taking part in a special 125th anniversary during the school fete on October 24.
The event celebrates past students with decade-by-decade reunions, starting with those from the 1930s right up to those who have graduated in the past five years.
Event organiser Nicola Bowyer said they had always wanted to include a reunion with the 125th anniversary celebrations.
“Organising it by decades makes it easier for people to meet up and see photos in one place for that decade,” she said.
“We have nearly 500 members on the Beaconsfield history Facebook page, 174 confirmed as coming to the reunion, not including ex-students who don’t use Facebook but who have contacted me by telephone, inquiring about the event.”
The school has a long list of well-known names, including Kim Beazley and San Cisco band member Scarlett Stevens.
