Inaction irks protesters

Anti-live export advocates protested against the arrival of livestock carrier Maysora, which docked in Fremantle last week to take on a load.

Stop Live Exports Campaign manager Katrina Love said the group protested at the arrival of the Maysora last year, but nothing had been done to stop its practices.

‘We stood in this very spot opposite the very same ship, saying it was inconceivable that the Department of Agriculture would grant Livestock Shipping Services a further permit to export animals at a time when they were under investigation for such serious breaches of live export regulations,’ she said.
