Baldivis resident consumed by food photography

The prize, should Inex Palit be crowned winner this week, is the opportunity to create her own curated collection for online restaurant reviewing platform Zomato.

The Baldivis resident earned the number one spot in WA after posting more than 150 online restaurant reviews and 2300 photos to the website over the last 12 months.

Ms Palit, who works in Bibra Lake, accumulated thousands of photos while eating out with friends and family.

But prior to submitting reviews, the pictures were simply taking up space in her phone.

“Before putting in these reviews I had a lot of photos but I didn’t really do anything with them,” she said.

“Snapping every meal out has now become as much a part of the experience of eating out as enjoying the plate of food in front of me.”

These days she has an outlet for the snaps and is also working on growing her food blogging website inexology.com.

“I like to shine a spotlight on lesser known places,” she said.

“I really enjoy local markets, food trucks, night markets and supporting locals businesses.”
