Inventor crosses new barrier

The New South Wales Government has secured the barrier for three years in a partnership similar to the one Mr Moss shares with City of Cockburn.

That means regular maintenance checks and reports back to local authorities.

The Kingsley resident will install 900m of barrier at Lighthouse Beach in Ballina.

Mr Moss will head over in the coming weeks and hopes to have the barrier installed by late March or early April.

“Visiting Ballina a few weeks ago the waves were three metres high and bigger,” he said.

“If the barrier does well there, |it can do well anywhere. I’m |excited to have someone else see |its potential.”
