Japanese Sylvanian Families toys like second family for collector Kate

Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

Local girl Kate Stevens has collected more than 200 pieces of Sylvanian Families merchandise over six years.

Among the eight-year-old’s collection are houses, dolls, family sets, furniture sets and extra accessories.

However, even all that wasn’t enough. Tasmanian woman Margaret Chatwin has more than 1000 pieces collected over 27 years and took the top prize. Kate was one of five runners up and received a $100 pack.
