With vintage bikes and baskets back in fashion, more woman are being urged to join the movement.

City of Cockburn Travel Smart officer Katy Boschetti has arranged a leisurely ride around Bibra Lake on Mother’s Day.

‘I have a lot of girlfriends who have young children who enjoy riding on the weekend for recreation and have great bikes with baskets that they pop to the shops on instead of taking their cars,’ she said.

‘These women don’t wear lycra, they wear normal clothes and look great.’
