MOTORISTS are being urged to keep an eye out for turtles crossing local roads during their breeding season.

Native Arc, in Bibra Lake, recently took in 18 female oblong turtles after they were injured trying to cross Hope Road recently, but four died.

Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett said the City had installed turtle crossing signs.
