WHILE most of us will be enjoying a second helping of Christmas pudding, local police officers will be hard at work.

Criminals, they say, never take holidays.

According to Cockburn police’s OIC James Bradley, it will be business as usual for police too.

“Police give up their day with family and friends to protect the public and make sure their Christmas is safe,” he said.

Snr Sgt Bradley said officers often kept their Christmas wish pretty simple.

“All they want for Christmas is for families not to fight and for criminals not to steal, and that everyone drives slowly and safely,” he said.

“So from Cockburn police and all police officers, Merry Christmas.”
