Almost 60 courses were on offer over the two weeks, keeping close to 500 children on school holidays busy with activities like sculpture, painting, sewing and drawing.

Fremantle Arts Centre learning co-ordinator Deborah Haslam said some of the more popular courses were Animation with Steven Aiton and Create Your Own Canvas.

"In Create Your Own Canvas kids learn how to screenprint and create a design using stencils which they then print onto canvas," he said.

"The final artwork is stretched onto a wooden frame giving kids something to take home.
