MUSIC lovers heading to Laneway Festival in Fremantle next month will get more than just a musical feast – with Laneway pass outs set to provide a unique experience for festival goers.

For the first time, crowds at Laneway can take advantage of pass outs to explore the surrounding Fremantle streets – and even take a dip at the beach.

Punters will be able to access Bather’s Beach and other festival surrounds such as Shipwreck Museum and Sweetlips/Bathers Beach House from 11am to 4pm on the day.

Designated ‘Laneway lifeguards’ will run a cloakroom service near the beach, while towels and stand-up paddle boards will be available for hire.

A number of nearby businesses have put their hands up to be involved, offering discounts and special deals to festival-goers.

Businesses include Cicerello’s, Bather’s Beach House, The Esplanade Hotel and Char Char Bull.

Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt said the pass outs were a welcome addition to the festival.

“The pass out system at Laneway Festival this year will be a welcome boost for local business owners who will be able to share the benefits of having so many visitors in Fremantle,” he said.
