Licensing goes coast to coast

Staff ReporterFremantle Gazette

A recreation and leisure traders licence was brought in by Cockburn Council last week to deter unqualified kite-surfing businesses from operating locally.

To be approved for a licence, applicants must provide a site plan showing where they will operate from, insurance cover, police clearances, and provide the City with a risk management plan.

Businesses will need to cough up $1500 for the yearly fee, plus $50 for the application. Licences will last for 12 months from the time they are issued.
