THOUSANDS of dollars will help the homeless this Christmas after a recent St Patrick’s Community Support Centre, Fremantle BID and National Hotel fundraiser.
The inaugural Long Table Christmas Dinner raised more than $20,000 as locals were treated to a night of entertainment and a delicious three-course meal on High Street.
St Patrick’s chief executive Steve McDermott said they were overwhelmed with the amount.
“We’re so grateful to Karl Bullers for coming up with this fantastic idea and it was truly wonderful to see the greater Fremantle community coming together in support of those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness,” he said.
“The City of Fremantle was a valuable sponsor and we had so many local businesses donate items for the raffle and auctions and it’s a real credit to the inclusiveness of our community.”
