COCKBURN seems to be a lucky place to be after another big Lotto win.

Just a week after a local couple claimed $23.3 million from a ticket bought at Cockburn Gateway, a second big win came from Phoenix Lotteries in Spearwood.

The winner, whose identity is unknown, will collect $1.4 million from the Saturday night draw.

It is the 19th division one-|winning Lotto ticket the Spearwood-based kiosk has sold since 1985.

Their previous division one prize was sold in September 2014.

A week earlier an engaged couple from Cockburn won $23.3 million playing Powerball.

It was the fourth-largest Lotto prize in WA history.

The couple, who bought the ticket from the Gateway Newsagency and Lottery Centre, said they would use the money on an overseas holiday, while a wedding is also on the cards.

Helping their family will also be a priority.

Lottery Centre owner Robyn McDermott said it was an exciting time, especially as the Powerball win was backed up by a customer winning $100,000 on a scratchie bought from the store the following day.
