Milking the health message

Year 4 students, with teacher Zoe Bereszczak-Adams, have learnt about cows.

Luckily for the teachers, the cow is not alive, but is rather a life-sized fibreglass one students decorated in a Dairy Australia education program on the health benefits of dairy.

White Gum Valley teacher Zoe Bereszczak-Adams said the students decorated the cow under the theme ‘fuel for life’.

‘The students learnt all about the dairy industry and had a wonderful time learning, designing and creating,’ she said.

‘The children completed everything themselves from the initial ideas, drawing on the cow and painting it.

‘It really promoted group work and working as part of a team.’
