The new centre in the Market Place shopping complex on Hampton Road has more space, a larger refreshment area, more donor couches and free parking, as well as longer opening hours.

Australian Red Cross Blood Service communications advisor Jessica Willet said they wanted donors to have a quick, easy and pleasurable experience to ensure they come back again.

‘Coincidentally the opening is in the middle of National Blood Donor Week, a time when we celebrate and say thank you to all our blood donors for their life-saving gifts,’ she said.
