He said stakeholders needed to be doing everything possible to attract people to the area.
‘We should be trying to create an interesting city, with members of the community driving the outcome,’ Mr Logan said.
‘You want a city shaped by people, not by developers.
‘We need beautiful and aesthetically pleasing buildings to make Cockburn Central a place people want to go.
‘I think if the buildings aren’t cared for, that attitude will be taken up by residents.’
Mr Logan said the DFES building, open since October, had been designed against the norm, but kept the area fresh.
He hoped future development in the area would follow this path.
