Much-needed funds fetched for shelter

Ms Path, a regular volunteer at the Shenton Park Dog Refuge, helped dozens of rescue dogs while fundraising for the shelter’s In the Dog House appeal recently.

Money raised went to renovating the aging kennels and the ongoing medical costs and care of the more than 100 rescue dogs at the shelter.

Shelter president Karen Rhodes said the shelter was grateful to its volunteers helping to raise much needed funds.

‘The Home is reliant on the support and generosity of dog lovers and donations made through fundraising appeals because we are a self-funded organisation,’ she said.
