Mum proud of cash raised in big swim

Ms Carylon did so in the lead-up to tackling the recent Rottnest Channel Swim.

She conquered the 19.7km open water swim from Cottesloe Beach to the popular tourist island in a little under 9½hours.

“It was a long day at the office, but a successful one,” she said.

Ms Carylon’s fundraising tally of $22,257 will be donated to the McGrath Foundation, who offered her help in the lead-up to and during her stay in hospital when she had lumps removed from her breasts.

The married mother of two eventually made the call to have a double mastectomy last year.
