Mum’s giving legacy lives on

Staff ReporterFremantle Gazette

Bibra Lake resident Rebecca Goncalves said she would host the event to honour the memory of her mum, a strong advocate for cancer research.

‘I didn’t think I could do the Biggest Morning Tea’s without my mum, but she is more of a reason to continue holding them in her memory and to keep raising money for research for cancer so one day they will find a cure,’ she said.

‘My mum would get her friends to donate old items, plates and other things they didn’t use anymore and she’d be wrapping all of these things in her lounge for about a month before (the event).
