Munster: car flips and hits home after police chase

A CAR finished up leaning against a home in Munster after allegedly fleeing police overnight.

Police say they attempted to stop the vehicle in Hamilton Hill about 10.20pm when the driver allegedly fled.

Soon after, the Hyundai Tucson struck a central traffic island, crossed a roundabout and hit a brick boundary fence.

The fence caused the car to flip before it came to rest on the side of a house on Mayor Road.

The 37-year-old driver allegedly tried to run away but did not get too far.

Police charged the Balga man with stealing, aggravated burglary, fraud, stealing a motor vehicle, failing to stop, reckless driving to evade police and having no authority to drive.

He will appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court today.
