Commissioned by the football club, aerosol artist Adam Cicanese infused some indigenous artistic styling with the names and faces of some of the great South Fremantle Aboriginal players like Brad Collard, Wally Matera, Benny Vigona and Willie Roe for the new mural.

Mr Cicanese, who works under the name ArtByRow, said he wanted to incorporate traditional Aboriginal art into the design to bring all of the players together with the overall composition.

“I’m very happy with it considering it’s the longest mural I’ve tackled and the first time I’ve painted realism with aerosol totalling 15 days,” he said.

“I have also found that because so many people within the community knew these players majority of people had something to say and it was a lot more opinionated than the other murals I’ve completed.
