The Reverend Dave Groenenboom said the course was not about the church passing on its beliefs, but about parents passing on their values to their children.

‘From time to time, parents might think that their challenges are unique, and that if things aren’t working out, that means there’s something wrong with them,’ he said.

‘The truth is most parents struggle in very similar areas ” discipline, boundaries, knowing how to help their child thrive, etc.

‘The Parenting Children Course is a real assistance in these areas and more.’

Mr Groenenboom said he wanted to run the program after discussions with community leaders, politicians and local schools.

‘These people know that anything which helps families work better will add value to the local community,’ he said.

‘We chose the Parenting Children Course because of its very practical approach and its easy-to-understand material.
