New Bokwa fitness craze in countdown to be number one

Bokwa, developed by a fitness instructor in the US, uses letters from the alphabet and the shapes of numbers to form dance steps.

One of only two West Australian Bokwa trainers, Amara Fredericks said the style was infectious.

‘Because the steps are structured as letters and numbers, everyone can do Bokwa,’ she said.

‘Four-year-old kids, 75-year-old men and women, and people with two left feet who cannot dance can all have a terrific experience in the same class.’

Ms Fredericks said it could become the biggest dance in Australia.

‘Bokwa Fitness is massive in the UK and America, with up to 100 people in each class,’ she said

‘Once people come to Bokwa, they’ll be hooked on the Bokwa Buzz.

‘It’s only a matter of time before Australia catches on.’
