THE Town of East Fremantle has appointed a new chief executive.
Gary Tuffin has been selected for the role for a five-year term, starting in March.
Mr Tuffin is presently chief executive at the Shire of Chittering and has worked in local government for nearly 20 years.
He will take over from Gary Clark, who has been acting in the position for the past 12 months.
East Fremantle Mayor Jim O’Neill thanked Mr Clark for his hard work over the past year and said that the appointment of Mr Tuffin was in keeping with the direction of the Town.
“Mr Tuffin is a great fit for the Town and we are working on improving our delivery of services and ensuring residents and ratepayers have not only a responsive, but forward thinking administration in meeting our many future challenges,” he said.
“We want East Fremantle residents to be proud of their local government.”
