ELDERLY people living alone and those with a disability no longer have to lose their independence in their day-to-day lives thanks to a new service in WA.

Eastern states’ home support service Just Better Care has launched in Perth, helping local residents to live independently despite age, disability or illness.

Just Better Care senior co-ordinator and Medina resident Evelyn Reid said home support was a critical part of the health and social care system and Just Better Care gave locals the opportunity to stay in their own homes by helping with household chores, getting out around the neighbourhood or chronic disease care.

“Just Better Care help people to live independently at home and maintain their personal and social connections and enjoy a better quality of life,” she said.

“We believe all clients are unique and we work with clients to design and deliver support that matches their preferences and maintain their independence; it’s their life, their way.

“With Just Better Care, clients will meet highly skilled, trained and experienced support professionals, who are also compassionate, understanding and willing to go the extra mile.

“Not only do we help the aged and people with disabilities, we do Get Better At Home (transition from hospital to home),end of life, mums and bubs packages, transport and much more.”
