New southern police hub is taking shape at Cockburn Central

THE shell of the $21 million police station being built at Cockburn Central is taking shape.

Construction on the two-storey build began in September.

Formwork for the first storey is now finished.

The new station will accommodate a district management team, local policing team and response team, and will be a key facility in Western Australia Police’s South Metro District.

The station is due to be finished in December 2016.
