This New Year’s Eve, while others were popping champagne or enjoying fireworks, Sabrina and Michael Reardon were preparing for the best kind of celebration, getting ready to head to St John of God Murdoch to welcome their new baby into the world.

Little Zara Sienna Reardon waited five days beyond her due date of December 27 to be born on January 1, ensuring a birth date to remember, and is a very welcome sibling for big sister Ella, almost two.

Michael said both girls would have memorable birthdates, with Ella celebrating her birthday on Valentine’s Day.

Zara was born at 1.20pm, weighing 3490g and measuring 51cm long.
