No Phoenix high-rising

In response to an article in the Gazette (March 18, Page 3), in which a spokesman for the centre’s owner, Rockworth Capital Partners didn’t outline any specific long-term plans, a statement was released to quash rumours the centre was going anywhere.

‘Phoenix shopping centre owners and management confirm that there are no plans to knock down the centre for high-rise apartments or other residential use,’ the statement reads.

‘The centre will continue to trade as a shopping centre in the long term.

The statement said they were always aiming to improve the centre in the interests of ‘loyal customers’.
