‘I’m so excited to meet the other contestants and bring my view of healthy body images onto a national stage,’ Ms Lederhaus said after the WA final at Perth’s Forrest Centre.
‘I believe this pageant will be perfect because it emphasizes beauty, style and cultural appreciation and is all about personal development for women and therefore I think a message such a mine will be a really strong one to be heard by all the younger girls out there.’
Ms Lederhaus, currently raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, said if she can raise $2,500 before the National Final, she would donate three weeks wages from her second job to the charity.
‘Although it is not compulsory, I decided to fundraise as it is a great charity and when kids are involved you can never do too much,’ she said.
