The two facilities cost $1.3m.
Special project officer Mike Gilbert said the new centres, opened at the start of the month by Education Minister Peter Collier, would help the Hamilton Hill school support young parents who wish to continue their education while their child is in an accredited childcare facility next door.
“Research shows when young mums become pregnant or have their baby, they drop out of education,” he said.
