Pet pamperer a cut above competition

The local resident was in South Australia recently for the Royal Adelaide Show, where she claimed first prize in the Open Salon Freestyle Division and Salon Freestyle Class.

She claimed victory by grooming Shih Tzu-cross Maltese Max with Asian-inspired flared legs and rounded face.

Ms Goldsmith, who runs Lexie’s Dog and Cat Grooming, has been in the business for eight years but the trip to Adelaide was her first tilt at winning a competition.

‘A year ago I didn’t even think I would be trying to compete against others. It has taken five years of continuing education seminars to get where I am now ” where I was only just confident to try,’ she said.
