Pizza party perks up locals

Staff ReporterFremantle Gazette

The South Fremantle Precinct was re-established by residents last year and has since been working to promote positive change in the local community.

The group will turn its attention to the upcoming Pizza Fiesta and are looking for local volunteers who want to get involved to jump on board.

Precinct member Belinda Keenan said last year’s Pizza Fiesta was a big success, with Wild Bakery and Peaches Fresh contributing a 50m long pizza for the community to share.

‘The South Fremantle Precinct has also been pushing for improvements to the South Terrace streetscape without losing its quirky appeal and community input was received at the Pizza Fiesta with a strong call to make the area more bike and pedestrian friendly, with councillors investigating options,’ she said.
