“We want to see if they can identify anybody or have seen anyone acting suspiciously,” he said.

“We are aware of a lot of reports going through on social media but at this stage, all those reports have not been reported to police, so if your car has been damaged then make a report through to police.”

Extra patrols, including covert police and bike patrols, are taking place around the South Fremantle area.

The incident follows a similar one in February.

Police believe the incidents could be connected.

They are still looking to speak to the man from the February footage who could assist them with their enquiries.

Police recommend parking cars as securely as possible, if possible under lights and CCTV footage.
