Works on the new Cockburn Central police station start

EARTHWORKS for the $21 million police station at Cockburn Central got under way last week.

The station, bounded by North Lake Road, Linkage Avenue and Fettler Lane, will accommodate 200 officers across shifts and will include short-term custodial facilities, a detainee processing area, two cells, interview rooms, a gym and changing facilities for officers.

Construction will take 12 months and temporary traffic management will be in place on Fettler Lane, Linkage Avenue and North Lake Road for the duration of the project.

Traffic issues can be taken up with PS Structures on 9240 6744 before close of business this Friday.
