Nathan Sexton was travelling along North Lake Road about 10.30am when he spotted a stray tyre rolling against traffic. As cars did their best to dodge the loose rubber, Mr Sexton could see a potential disaster in the making.

‘I just thought, ‘this is going to be bad’,’ he said.
‘I was really worried (about) what could happen if it got to the intersection, with all the cars around.’
