WA Aboriginal artists will travel to Fremantle from across the state for the Revealed: WA Aboriginal Art Market this Saturday.

The art market is an open and accessible place to engage with WA Aboriginal art.

Culture and the Arts Minister David Templemen said the art market is a fantastic opportunity for families to engage with spectacular WA Aboriginal art.

“This is a rare opportunity to have a chat and purchase affordable works directly from the artists and arts centres from all corners of our vast and diverse state,” he said.

The exhibition will be open during the market in the Fremantle Arts Centre’s nearby galleries until May 20 2018.

“Located in the gorgeous surrounds of the Fremantle Arts Centre, the art market will be a delight for all ages,” Mr Templeman said.

The art market is a great option for a family day out, with live music and food options provided.

The Revealed program also includes artist talks, a film night and an exhibition featuring works by about 80 new and emerging Aboriginal artists.

Revealed is presented by the Fremantle Arts Centre (City of Fremantle), with funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the Commonwealth Department of Communications and Arts.
