Roughing it to raise funds for the homeless

Staff ReporterFremantle Gazette

South Metropolitan Health Services chief executive Frank Daly and Fremantle Hospital and Health Service executive director David Blythe will join business and community leaders spending a cold winter’s night at the WACA on June 19 to raise money for the St Vincent De Paul Society.

Professor Daly said it was an issue handled daily at hospitals and community health services.

‘Homelessness is a complex issue and our hospitals and community services deliver care and treatment daily,’ he said. ‘There is a link between homelessness and mental and physical illness and alleviating homelessness at grassroots level is the way to stop the cycle.’
