Santas to run the streets for good cause

Staff ReporterFremantle Gazette

Amongst the crowd will be East Fremantle’s Kerry Maddestra, who has put together a team of 17 to dress as the jolly red man and run around the streets of Fremantle on December 1 to raise money for WA’s sick children.

Ms Maddestra said she had been blessed with healthy children and grandchildren and wanted to give something back. ‘As a show of gratitude for this I would like to support Variety in the work it does to help families not as fortunate as mine,’ she said.

‘It is coming up to Christmas, a time all about family and children so this fun run is a perfect way to have some fun whilst raising funds for the charity.
