Fremantle Chocolate chocolatier Katya Oots has merged the two, creating a life-size chocolate handbag that won gold in the Chocolate Show Piece category of the Perth Royal Dairy Show recently.

Not happy with one accolade, Fremantle Chocolate also won another seven gold and three silver awards, capping it all off with the Champion Chocolate award.

Fremantle Chocolate’s Andrew Wyers said they were excited to win 12 awards this year from 13 entries.

‘We are extremely proud of our team and all their hard work,’ he said.

‘It is very rewarding to see all the team’s great efforts recognised against the competition in each category and to come away with the overall champion was the grandest of treats for us.

‘We love to enter the Perth Royal Dairy Show awards as it is great encouragement for the team and a rewarding way to showcase our local talents.’

O’Connor’s Azzura Gelati was also recognised, winning gold for their Amarena Cherry flavour and silvers for Chocolate Truffle and Vanilla Bean.
