The centre has more than 60 different classes on offer using a range of arts including clay work, animation, drawing, mosaic, jewellery making and dance to satisfy children of all tastes and keep them busy for a few hours.

Fremantle Arts Centre learning co-ordinator Deborah Haslam said the school holiday courses were a vital part of the centre’s learning program.

‘Every holiday period the building is filled with children and teens taking part and FAC really comes alive when it’s filled with kids; they bring a great energy to the arts centre,’ she said.

‘We always get incredible feedback about our school holiday courses because kids love the hands on approach and we find that their parents will enrol their kids in multiple courses.

‘A lot of the kids come back term after term to do different and sometimes the same courses over again, which is a great endorsement to how successful the program is.’
