The school’s opening, which came at an important time considering nearby Success Primary School had experienced significant growth in student numbers since its own opening in 2009, was one of seven new public school openings last week.

The first two teaching blocks and an administration area were opened last week, although when complete in March, the school will feature a third general classroom block, an art room, library, oval, sports court and covered assembly area.

Principal Jennifer Lee said she was quick to jump at the opportunity to lead the school in its first year.

‘It’s wonderful to be foundation principal because you can put all your philosophies and thoughts into it, so we’ve worked really closely with the teachers here in putting in place our motto which is ‘learning together every day’,’ she said.
