Helen Galloway is on the hunt because her dream dress, which she wore during her wedding to husband Simon two years ago, was stolen.

The gown had been secured in the shed of her former Coolbellup property, but was stolen during the night of August 30 as the Galloways made the move to their new home in Kardinya.

“My husband went around to pick up the last of our stuff,” she said. “He called me and asked if I’d taken the dress already and I said ‘no’.

“That’s when he told me we’d been broken into.

“I just burst into tears.”

Also taken from the shed were a bike and a lawn mower.

Ms Galloway filed a police report and put the call out on social media for help finding the dress.

She has also kept a close eye on free advertising websites and second-hand stores to make sure someone is not profiting at her expense. “I’m not really sure what someone is going to do with a wedding dress,” she said.

“People will say that it’s just a dress, but it’s very sentimental.”
