A joint project by Kulcha and the Fremantle BID (Business Improvement District), live musical acts will perform for the next nine weeks after city centre property owners and local business owners agreed to pay extra money on top of their rates to improve the ambience of the city centre.

Fremantle BID executive manager Kim Low said the City was initially going to provide ‘place-making’ activities such as Tuesday Tunes to provide atmosphere for customers dining or shopping in the city centre.

‘Over the next few months, the Fremantle BID will be working with the business community to provide improved lighting, new funky street furniture, play equipment like outdoor music instruments, colourful planter boxes and events,’ she said.
