GARDEN City will be staying true to its name when it celebrates the beginning of spring with a garden party this week.
East Fremantle duo Alicia Zorn and Annita Bokobli from Floral Army will be amongst those taking part in the event, creating a Hippy ’70s theme installation for the garden party’s floral-themed exhibition.
Ms Zorn said they were asked to create the installation to mirror the popular ’70s fashion trend in upcoming spring clothing designs.
“We were invited to participate in this fantastic event and we are very excited for the opportunity to showcase floral design potential,” she said.
“The ’70s hippy theme has been provided for us and we are looking forward to interpreting this theme through the natural colour harmonies and textures.
“We will be using more than 3000 individual blooms in our floral installation.”
Floral Army’s creation will be on display for a week from September 10.
