The skateboarding enthusiast is the WA State Manager of Skateboarding Australia, but when he is not working, he takes his love of the sport to the streets, running clinics for local children.

Mr Bowring said he had loved skateboarding since he was in primary school and enjoyed fostering that in the next generation.

‘All skateboarders naturally volunteer time to educate and teach the younger generation of skaters the culture, etiquette and respect values behind skateboarding,’ he said.

‘That happens naturally because there is no age segregation in skateboarding like other sports.

‘It is generally pretty rewarding to help other people and these events are going to possibly change kids’ lives and that is amazing.’
