The league, which currently trains in O’Connor, Maylands and Madeley, had its eye on a West Perth warehouse last year but it burned down.
Coach Shelley McLean (aka Dayzee A’Dare) said their efforts were ongoing but had hit a ‘plateau’.
‘Every place that has become available has either been out of our reach financially or they’re just not happy loaning it out to a sporting group,’ she said.
‘We are trying to appeal to our local members of Parliament and people who have the power to help us out so we can continue expanding and helping women in the community.’
McLean, who also captains the away team , said they were chasing a large, lockable, flat warehouse in a central location close to public transport.
She said despite their venue woes, they were kicking off the 2013 season next month in strong form.
‘We are improving rapidly. We have always been a very solid team but the opportunity to go interstate and start bouting other high-level teams is really developing our strategy and our skill,’ she said.
