Nicola Bartlett stars in the thriller Sororal, directed by Sam Barrett, with Liam Graham and Amanda Woodhams.
Describing her character as a ‘person with power and a briefcase who’s delusional and mad as a cut snake’ Bartlett said she loved being involved in the movie.
‘It’s a locally made film, using local actors and crew, which is great,’ she said.
‘The creators were serious film fans and right into the schlocky horror, thriller genre.
‘I’d never worked on one and they offered me the part of their Dr Sosa,’ she said.
Fremantle director Jeremy DeCeglie’s film Jugular will also be a part of the festival with a screening tonight at the Luna Outdoor Cinema in Leederville from 9.30pm.
Sororal is showing on April 2 from 8.30pm.
