Full of flavour, the kong po chicken will not disappoint your taste buds ” the tender pieces of chicken cooked in peanut sauce, fresh vegetables and fried chilli peppers stimulated my senses from the moment the vibrant dish arrived on the table.
I was persuaded by the chef to try something different from my usual szechuan beef, and was very impressed with the salt and pepper king prawns.
A favourite at the restaurant, the large prawns were coated in salt and pepper crumbs and cooked until crispy. They weren’t oily as some Chinese seafood can be, just full of juicy flavour.
Watch out for the restaurant’s trademark red-hot chillies, they gave the dish a good kick.
We were able to extinguish the flames with the fluffy white rice that came with our meals.
